About the project

We know that insurance can seem boring to the younger generation. That’s why we set out to revitalize Stubben Edge’s direct-to-consumer offering, making financial services more accessible and empowering for the next generation. Our ambition was to create a fresh brand and website to embody this vision.

The solution

Our brand ideation focused on financial empowerment. The logo blends a speech bubble for informal advice with a whale symbolising wealth, with its coin-shaped spray representing financial growth. We added the Stubben Edge Smile to convey positivity and trust, while the Scandia typeface and blue palette ensure a cohesive visual identity across all Stubben Edge Group brands, with vibrant orange accents for calls to action.

The website design is intentionally minimal, allowing the financial content to stand out and remain engaging. I started by wireframing and prototyping in Figma, then brought the design to life using no-code web development tools. The hero section introduces the brand’s value proposition and features the mascot, setting a welcoming tone. Core values are highlighted in icon boxes to guide exploration, while a carousel provides an interactive overview of products. The blog is designed to improve SEO and conversion rates, with easy navigation and strategic links to products. Product pages are crafted to meet FCA standards, presenting clear, transparent information, supported by illustrations and comprehensive FAQs to assist users in making informed decisions.

Results

We created and launched a youthful brand and redesigned the website to make financial services more accessible. Product pages are free of jargon, making all information easy to understand. This led to a 45% increase in page views, a 30% reduction in bounce rates, and a 20% rise in conversion rates within six months. The team at Stubben Edge is also committed to further iterating and expanding service offerings to banking.
